China-Iran Comprehensive Strategic Partnership: An Evolving New Security Complex and its Implications

China-Iran relations have witnessed a new ascendency. Where ‘Comprehensive Strategic Partnership’ (CSP) is characterized by deepening economic, trade and investment ties, cooperation through Belt Road Initiative shared interests in promoting stability security, it has raised concerns of the international community, especially US. The prime concern regarding shift balance power region. China its diplomatic efforts somehow addressed brokering raproachment agreement between Saudi-Arabia Iran, but Western US persist as they view partnership challenge to their influence regional allies. This paper hypothesizes that CSP, if fully realized would establish security complex undermine US-led status quo order. analyzes this very research puzzle enquiring about evolving nature political relationship implications for lens Regional Security Complex theory (RSCT).
